Come capture the romance of an old rustic lodge nestled in the backwoods of Eureka State Park. Hang you mittens and warm yourself around the big circular fireplace with a crackling fire. HISTORY

Reminisce about the pioneers who introduced longboards, then known as snowshoes, and who introduced the first downhill racing in the western hemisphere, right here in Plumas County in the early 1850's..

AUTHENTIC RACING

Experience authentic longboard racing each winter at Ski Gold Mountain as brave members of the Plumas Ski Club, established in 1951, strap-on 12 foot long skis weighing 20 pounds and race to the finish line at speeds of up to 80 miles per hour.

SKI TERRAIN

Imagine eight miles of groomed cruising runs to steep glades, open bowls and airy cornices. We've got great terrain to satisfy every skiing ability. The front, east facing bowl visible from deck of the lodge features groomed ski runs for beginners through strong intermediates. MORE

LODGING

A political subdivision of Plumas County, the Gold Mountain Community Services District provides water, sewer and fire protection services to the Gold Mountain Community. Community water wells provide crystal clear, great tasting water to each residence. MORE

FACILITIES

Ski Gold Mountain consists of 350 acres with a vertical drop of 675 feet reachable presently by poma lifts. An additional 1,325 feet can be achieved by hiking above the current ski lift for 2,000 vertical feet. MORE
